Corporate Wellbeing
Musculoskeletal disorders (MSD) are costly to businesses and can quite literally be a real pain to employees.
Direct costs can come from absenteeism, or from an employee’s limited capacity for work, impacting their productivity. Indirect costs can come from decreased staff morale, or from "presenteeism" where an employee is physically at work, but is distracted or even avoiding their usual duties.
Corporate Chiropractic Consultancy & Occupational Physiotherapy can review your workplace ergonomics, your systems and the work processes likely to have the biggest impact on your employees' musculoskeletal health, and advise & work with you at business-wide or individual employee level to get bottom-line improvements.

Employers and Employees
Even if employees are relatively free from physical symptoms, good employers appreciate that prevention is better than intervention.
All employers and employees should be keen on optimising their performance. Employers should want to boost productivity, and employees to know that they are working within their capacity and avoiding overstrain of any "weak links in the chain."
I can offer two main avenues for corporate wellbeing:
Workplace Assessment, Report and ¨MSD School¨ education programme
Corporate Care Clinics
Applied Physical Neuro-ergonomics
Applied Physical Neuro-ergonomics is a person-centred approach to workplace ergonomic evaluation, rather than an equipment-centred approach.
A simple workplace and task examination identifies newly-realized risk factors, and advice is targeted to the people and processes involved rather than solely looking to upgrade equipment. Ergonomic principles are covered, and for example an office workplace assessment and report fulfils an employer's requirements to offer assessment and advice for using Display Screen Equipment set out under H&S (DSE) Reg 1992 (amended 2002), but goes beyond ergonomic design as an engineering process.
After the assessment, a full individualized report is produced, with action points and advice options to enable the company to prioritise interventions for a ¨personalized¨ corporate action plan.
If chosen as part of the action plan, ¨MSD Schools¨ are educational programmes designed to:
- train managers & supervisors to become in-house experts in minimizing MSD risks; and,
- enable employees to become motivated self-care experts, taking care of themselves both at work and as they age so they can live a full, productive life.
